F5bot - The Best Tool to Perform Keyword Research for Free

How do I get started?

F5bot is very easy to use, here are the three steps you need to follow:

1. You sign up at https://f5bot.com/signup
2. After signing up, you can sign up and visit the f5bot dashboard
3. In the input box, enter a keyword to monitor and press “create”. You can monitor for unlimited keywords.

Here is an example of my F5bot dashboard where I monitor four keywords, "boilerplate", "nextjs", "shipfast", and "starter template".

Here you can see how many times your keyword was mentioned on platforms within the last 7 days.

Additionally, you will receive emails when a certain keyword gets matched:

Limitations of F5bot

F5bot is amazing, but there are a few limitations you should be aware of.

If you are a standard user of F5bot you can only receive 50 emails every 24 hours. This number increases to 1000 if you are a power user.

Another limitation not directly due to F5Bot is that your email inbox will get full pretty quickly.

To prevent this, I recommend setting up an email filter.

In my case, I am using Gmail and I can set a filter as follows:

1. Visit this link to create a filter.
2. Make sure the "from" field is set to admin@f5bot.com and the "to" field is set to your email address.
3. Click continue and apply a label of your choice using the "Apply the label" option. This is to organize your F5bot notifications in one place.
4. Select the "Skip the Inbox" field to automatically archive incoming emails and keep your inbox empty.

Lastly, F5bot only works for Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters, so if your target audience doesn't belong here then F5bot may not be useful for you.
